THE EXTRUDER, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
taught by Mary Albright
Learn to use the extruder in a two-day class given by Mary Albright.
You will build a beautiful container constructed with contoured walls and a tall vase, teapot or sculpture using one or more hollow form dies. No clay experience is necessary. You can build a simple vessel and learn the basic techniques or challenge yourself to build something even you will be impressed by. We will cover beveling,
joining pieces and ornamentation for beginners. Come in and let your imagination be rejuvenated with something new and fun. Visit the Aspects of Clay gallery to see some of the remarkable pieces Mary makes using the extruder.

Learn to apply liquid sodium silicate during the throwing process to create an attractive, rough texture on your pots. Suitable for a number of glaze applications. For novice to advanced potters. You should be able to wheel-throw a 6-inch cylinder before taking this class.
